On April 4th, Peyton started riding club with the Riverton Roughriders. She rides at the Riverton arena every Monday and Thursday nights from April 4th through June 2nd. They will have their District show in Tooele on June 3rd and 4th where her club will compete against other kids clubs in the same district.
She is absolutely loving it!!! As everybody knows, this has been kind of a crazy Spring and hasn't been too warm and we have been getting a lot of rain. There has been one time where she was not able to ride because it was raining so hard and she was in tears. Other than that night, we have been there every time.
I can't believe how confident she is when she rides especially at such a young age. She is doing so well and keeps getting better and better everytime. Plus it helps having a 26 year old horse that takes such good care of her. Rummy has been so good for Peyton and has taught her so much. Even he is enjoying riding club. He feels better the more he is ridden and really seems to be feeling good right now. He is taking her through the poles faster than she has ever gone and she is loving it.

All the kids practicing. This is the 6-8 year old age group practicing the Poles.
Flying through the Poles. Too bad she hit one.
Houston knows it's his turn to ride once Peyton is done.
He thinks he is so big. I think he is going to love riding as much as his sister does.

Easter Weekend
This year for Easter we had talked about going camping for the weekend, but since I had my gallbladder removed the week before and because the weather wasn't the greatest, we decided to stay in town.
On Friday, we continued the tradition and the kids colored eggs.
Peyton loves this tradition and kept asking me all week when we got to color the eggs.
Houston wasn't quite as delicate as Peyton was with the eggs and we ended up with a few cracked ones.
The finished eggs. If you look close you can see which ones Houston decorated.
On Saturday, we took the kids to the Eagle Mountain Easter Egg Hunt. Houston wasn't sure what to think and just walked around with his basket watching everybody else gather eggs. Luckily he has a nice big sister that would share with him.
Houston got this motorized scooter for Christmas from Grandpa Wes and Grandma Jill and just recently realized how much fun it is. He now drives it everywhere.
Peyton and her friend Marisa. Even though it was a little cold, the kids spent Saturday playing outside.
The Easter Bunny brought the kids a big box full of sand toys.
The Easter Bunny hid Peyton's basket on top of the washer. He must know we have a dog and hid it high enough that Sage couldn't reach all the candy.
The Easter Bunny hid Houston's basket in the pantry. He knows that its's Houston's favorite room in the house and it wouldn't take him long to find it there.
Houston playing with his favorites, tractors.
And Peyton doing what she loves, drawing.
Trying out the new sand toys.
We went to Bradyn's parents house for an early yummy dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. This time Houston knew there were treats in the eggs and was into a lot more.
I think Peyton found the most eggs.

Thanks everybody for all the fun Easter gifts and goodies!!!

St. George Dance Competition 2011
On our way home from California we made a stop in St. George so Peyton could compete with her dance team on Saturday, March 26th. They all did so good again. I think Peyton and her team keep getting better and better. So proud of you Peyton, especially being able to compete even though you were so tired from our week long vacation!!!

Disneyland with the Bennett's
So it seems like we have been trying to plan a trip to Disneyland with Bradyn's family forever and it finally happened. Yay!!! Warning: This is going to be a really long post with many pictures. But I had taken so many cute ones and couldn't decide which ones to leave out.
We left for California at 3:30 in the morning on Sunday, March 20th. The kids did so good on the 10 day hour car ride especially since we only stopped in St. George for breakfast with the whole family and a couple other stops for gas.
Once we got checked into our room and unpacked the fully loaded car it started to down pour. Since it was raining and the kids were all wound up from the drive and excited for Disneyland, we decided to order dinner in.
On Monday, we spent the entire day at the happiest place on earch. It seemed like we were just there. Well, actually we were just there in October. Everything looked the same but without the Halloween decorations. The kids were in heaven between seeing characters and riding all the fun rides. It was a little cool this day and mid-morning it down poured for a couple hours.

Mickey!!! Always a crowd favorite. This is our whole group.
Exhausted after only the first day
On Tuesday, we spent the entire day at California Adventures. I love California Adventures! It's kind of a nice break from Disneyland because it's different and has some really fun rides and characters you don't see at Disneyland. This day was much nicer and we even got to wear shorts and capris.
Is it snack time already?

Thursday was our final full day in California. We got up extra early to beat some of the rush at Disneyland and spent half the day there and half the day California Adventures doing some of the stuff we hadn't done already and rode some of the rides again that we really liked.
The girls loved to see the princesses
Grandpa Brent, Raylee and Peyton with Pilot Minnie
The boys were excited to see these bears
Another favorite for the kids was this trail/play area where the kids could stretch there legs and just run all over the place
Peyton riding the zip line
Exhausted on the final night
While in California we all did a lot of swimming and hot tubbing too at the hotel. And Friday morning we all headed out and us and Bradyn's parents spent a night in St. George to attend Peyton's dance competition on Saturday while the others headed home.
Thanks everybody for such a fun trip!!! We had a blast and can't wait for the next trip.
