Riverton Rodeo Fun!

So while Peyton is in New Mexico having a blast and getting spoiled, we have been having some fun of our own. Last night Bradyn was entered in the steer wrestling at Riverton's rodeo so Houston and I tagged along. Here are few cute pictures I took:

Happy Father's Day

So a little belated, but Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's out there! Especially to our dad's who we love so much. Wish I could have spent the day with my dad, if only he lived closer. To our grandpa's who we miss everyday. And to Bradyn, who is such a good and would do anything for both the kids and I.

For Father's Day we went to Bradyn's parents for dinner and let the kids play around in the water. Later that night we came home and all 4 of us worked in the garden picking weeds. Woo hoo! Not to exciting but when it needs to be done it needs to be done not matter what the day is. At least we were all together I guess.

Houston's 2nd Birthday

Houston turned the BIG 2 on June 15th. I can't believe my little man is already that old. WOW how time flies. He definetly thinks he is not a baby anymore and tries to do everything his big sister does.

For his birthday I took the day off work to do something fun with the kids. The weather was great so I called up some of my friends and they and their kids met us at the Herriman beach/pond for pizza, swimming and building sand castles. The kids had so much fun! I think my kids would live in the water if they could. They spent pretty much the entire 2 hours we were there in the pond. Thanks Tana, Kallie, Tiffanie and kids for coming with us!

Happy Birthday Houston! We love you little man!

Birthday Party for a Big Boy

On June 13th we planned on having Houston's Birthday party at the park but the weather had other plans for us and we ended up having it at our house. Houston was spoiled by everybody and received some cute clothes, toys, a wheel barrel, a new bike and a big boy bed bedroom set (which isn't quite ready yet). Thanks everybody for your love and support! You helped make Houston's 2nd Birthday great!

District Open Kids Horse Show

On June 10th we took Peyton to the Open Kids Horse Show put on by our District. The show is open and free to kids who either ride in the District or who's parents ride in the District. It was such a good show to take her to and she had so much fun. She competed in Speed Barrels, Poles, Barrels and Key Hole. She did so good, is getting her confidence back and is really turning into a good rider. She was so excited especially with her Pole run because she won a ribbon for 6th place. Lately Poles has been her favorite event but after that show she said her favorite is Key Hole like her Grandpa Wes. It's good to see how much fun she is having and makes me excited for her start Riding Club next Spring.

Houston loves to ride, even after he has already fallen off. He didn't cry, just stuck his lip out and then was happy again when Bradyn put him back on.

Farmington, NM Trip

On June 3rd, Bradyn, I and the kids drove to Farmington, New Mexico to visit my mom. While we were there for the long weekend we kept busy at the horse races on Thursday watching the Four Corners Futurity trials, on Friday we went to a couple of museums and did a little shopping, and on Saturday we drove to Durango, Colorado which is only an hour away and Bradyn and I went rafting down the Animas River. I was a little leary about rafting because I have never had a real desire for it and I honestly have nightmares about rafting in rough waters. But it was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again. Peyton was really bummed because the waters were running high that day and she was too small to go. We also went to a train museum and did a little shopping while in Durango.

We came home on Sunday and to break up the drive we stopped in Moab and took the kids through the petting zoo at the Hole in the Rock. I cannot believe that the whole time while on our trip I only took pictures at the zoo. My mom got some pictures of us rafting so I need to get them from her and will post them later.
