This last weekend was the Larsen Family Reunion and this year we went camping again up by Fish Lake. We usually go camping with the Bennett's so it was fun to go camping with Bradyn's other side of the family since we don't get to see them as often. We had a full campground with just a few families missing. Hopefully one of these years everybody will be able to attend.
We had fun riding 4-wheelers, playing cards, we had Ladderball tournaments, we went to a lake and watched some crazies drive their snowmobiles accrossed it, we ate good food, enjoyed yummy drinks thanks to Holley, did fun craft projects thanks to Jayme, the kids all played hard, shared some new and old stories around the campfire, and even got glitter toes done thanks to Ashlee.
Thanks everybody for the good time! Can't wait to go again next year.

Bradyn's 32nd Birthday
On July 10th Bradyn turned 32. For his birthday he opened some presents in the morning and then we went to the horse races in South Jordan to watch the trials for the late great Blane Schvaneveldt Futurity and the Silver Dollar Futurity. That night Bradyn was entered up in the Draper Rodeo so Houston and I tagged along to cheer him on. Unfortunately he didn't have good luck on his birthday because he drew a bad steer that come out of the chute and cut him right off so he didn't have a chance to get off.
Happy Birthday Bradyn! We hope you and had a good one and we love you!
Bradyn wasn't going to get without a little help from Houston. Houston had been eying those presents all week.

Houston's a Big Boy
For Houston's 2nd birthday, my parents bought him a big boy bed, bedding and matching dressers just like they did for Peyton. I ordered the bed and dressers the day before his birthday and it finally all came in today. So Bradyn and I went and picked it all up and spent the day putting his new room together. He was so excited when we got his bed put together, he just kept jumping on it yelling "Yee Haw, Yee Haw". Here's to hoping he will sleep good in it. I think he will do fine. When I told him it was night night time he went running right for his bed. He has only been in there for about 10 minutes and is already asleep.
Thanks mom and dad, we love it!

4th of July Weekend
For the second year in a row we went out to Tabiona for the 4th of July weekend. We had so much fun last year we decided to try it again and this year we had just as much fun. We went out for the rodeo and jackpot team roping and camped right at the arena with a bunch of our friends.
It was a little weird not having Peyton there this year but I know she is having a lot of fun with my mom. We traded her for my brother which was nice to be able to spend some time with him. We didn't have Houston too much either since my Grandma Carolyn wanted to have him over for a sleepover and wanted him to play at her house.
While there Bradyn was entered in the team roping at the rodeo but wasn't up until the slack after the Friday night performance so it made for a late night. Saturday morning all the girls took all the kids to the parade in town then went back and watched the guys in the jackpot. That night we watched our friends in the rodeo, then after watched the town fireworks and lit some fireworks of our own. Houston was pretty scared of them at first but towards the end would just sit and say ewww after each one.

Last night we decided to light a few fireworks at home in our backyard to celebrate the 4th of July thinking that maybe Houston was used to them and wouldn't be so scared. Well wrong we were and here are the pictures to prove it:
He was trembling with fear right here
You can see the fear in his eyes in the one
Bradyn lighting off the fireworks
He thought he was tough here after all the fireworks were dead on the ground

Memorial Weekend (a little late)
So I forgot to take my camera over our Memorial Weekend this year and luckily Tana took a ton of pictures and emailed me some. I just forgot about them and found them when I was going through my email and thought I better post them since they turned out so cute.
It has become a tradition to go camping with the Bennett's over Memorial Weekend and usually some of our friends join us as well. Like the last several years, we went camping up Red Creek. We had a lot of fun playing horse shoes, riding 4-wheelers, shooting skeet, some went on horseback rides, the kids wore themselves out playing so hard, we ate good food and enjoyed good company telling stories around the campfire.
