Memorial Camping Trip

We went camping up at Red Creek over Memorial weekend with Bradyn's parents Brent & ReNae, brother Shayne, Mandy & Raylee, his uncle Ralph & Rhonda, cousins Jake, Tana, Hallie & Hazen, Kendall, Kallie & Kyler, Trevor & Katherine, Dallas, and friends Kevin, Tracey, Teagan & Kason, Brook and CJ. His other brother Hadley, Haylee, Preslie and Colter came up for the day on Saturday. We had a lot of fun even though it rained most of the day on Saturday and part of the day on Sunday. We just did the usual, ate good food, played horse shoes, shot clay pigeons, the guys and kids went fishing, rode 4-wheelers, played cards and just hung around the camp fire at night.

The funniest part of the trip was probably when Shayne caught a fish and Peyton packed it around like her own little pet even after it finally died. She was loving on it, making it talk, and packing it over her shoulder. It was really disgusting but hilarious. All the scales had rubbed off the fish and were all over her hands and clothes. As much as she loves bugs, dirt and dead fish, sometimes I think she should have been born a boy but then I see her pushing her baby dolls around in a stroller and realize that she is just a girl that is not afraid to get dirty.

Preschool Graduation 2009

Last Thursday Peyton had her second preschool graduation. One more year to go and she will finally be old enough to go to kindergarten. And after 3 years of preschool she ought to be good and ready. She is actually ready to go this year if it wasn't for her missing the deadline by 17 days. Her teacher Ms. Jaime done such a good job and Peyton absolutely loves her. The graduation turned out so cute. The students each took turns saying what their favorite thing about the school year was and then the class all sang songs to show how they learned their abc's, the sounds each letter makes and the months of the year. Then they each received a diploma and a goody bag from Ms. Jaime and after had a party with punch, cookies and fruit.

Mother's Day!

This mother's day was great because my mom got into town on Friday morning and didn't leave until this morning so we got to spend 3 whole days with her. Friday we took Peyton to dance class and then spent the rest of the day doing what we do best, shopping!!! Saturday we spent the day at Lagoon for Peyton's dance competition and then on Mother's Day her and I made breakfast and then just hung out. Later that afternoon me, Bradyn and the kids went to Bradyn's parents for an early dinner with them and his brothers and their familes while my mom did more of you guessed it, shopping! Then that night us and my mom went down to my cousin Calie and Dave's house to see their new baby boy Jaren and to have a little bit later dinner with them, my Grandma Pat, uncle Mick, aunt Laurie, uncle Wade, and uncle Kim. I feel like I spent the entire day eating. I wish my dad and brother could have made the trip. Maybe next time. Thanks mom for coming and spending the time with us. We really enjoyed having you here and we will for sure have to come down in a few weeks because I already had to promise Peyton to get her to stop crying this morning when she saw that you had left.

Lagoon Dance Competion

This last Saturday Peyton and her dance class competed at the Dance Nationals at Lagoon. I have to commend her on being so brave to get up on stage and dance in front of so many people at such a young age. She didn't act nervous at all and was so excited to perform. The girls all did so good and I am so proud of Peyton for all of her accomplishments. After she performed we just hung out at Lagoon the rest of the day and rode a ton of rides. Last year I was pregnant with Houston so even I was excited because this year I actually got to ride. Houston had been sick all week with RSV and a double ear infection and was luckily feeling a lot better just in time. He was so good considering waking up early, the long day and pretty much contained to his stroller all day. Thanks to our families that were so supportive to come chear Peyton on and spend the day with us.

My cousin Jessie, husband Shawn and son Braxton came to Lagoon as well but weren't able to make the performance and I didn't get any pictures of them or many pictures on the rides. My mom took those shots with her camera and I forgot to get them from her before she left so I will probably post them later.

Houston On The Move

Houston is almost 11 months old and he is all of the place and into everything. He started officially crawling on his hands and knees about a month ago and that same day he started standing up to and walking along all the furniture. It seemed like he army crawled forever before he finally crawled on all fours but he has certainly made up for it because he is in out of sight in a flash.
