Last Saturday, September 18th, we took Peyton to the Cedar Fort Play Day. It was a lot of fun! They had a lot of events that we don't normally see at the horse shows and they gave away cute little prizes for places 1st through 3rd in each event in each age division. Some of Peyon's friends and cousins, Bridger, Preslie, Hallie and Hazen, rode as well, so it was fun hanging out with everybody and watching all the kids ride.
Houston on Grandpa Brent's horse, DJ.
Barrels is not Rummy's favorite event so therefore he gets lazy and Peyton has a hard time getting him to go very fast.
Finally running home in the Barrels.
Poles has always been Peyton's favorite event and as you can see it is Rummy's as well. They practice poles at home all the time. Peyton ended up 4th in the poles, just out of the prizes.
Running for the Key Hole.
Turning in the Key Hole. Peyton ended up 3rd in the Key Hole and picked out a stuffed Lion for her prize.
Peyton with her dad waiting for her turn in the Boot Race.
Running down for the Boot Race (how do you like that in action face?).
Peyton waiting for her turn in the Apple Bob.
Running back with the apple in her mouth.
Peyton also competed in the Rock Race (no pictures, bummer) and ended up 1st place. She picked out a caddy for her horse brushes and combs. Also, every contestant who competed in 3 or more events received $5 so she was excited about that.
This was the 2nd show for the Cedar Fort Play Day series. We missed the 1st one and the 3rd one is in October. Hopefully it is on a weekend we will be able to make it.

Peyton Turns 6
Last Friday, September 17th, Peyton turned 6 years old. Wow how time has flown by. She is really growing up fast and is so much fun. She is such a little smarty pants and keeps us laughing all the time with the stories she tells. I don't know where she comes up with some of the stuff she says. She also has a little attitude and a hot temper on occasion. Must be the age is all I can say because Bradyn and I both swear it doesn't come from either of us :).
For Peyton's birthday day she woke up and wanted pancakes.
Grandma Jill said Peyton could open up a couple presents early so she could wear a new outfit to school that day.
Peyton was really excited to go to school on her birthday since they had been counting down the day all week. She wanted to take cupcakes so I went to Walmart and bought the mini cupcakes in the bakery for her to take to class.
After school she opened presents from us and the rest from my parents before we headed out to my Grandma Carolyn's in Hanna to pick up a horse for the sale.
Of course Grandma Jill had to throw in a present for Houston too
After the horse sale on Sunday we had a family birthday party with cake and ice cream at the park. Besides it being really windy, it was nice to be able to have Peyton's birthday party outside since it usually hasn't been warm enough to in years past.
Opening tons of presents
Pretending to blow out candels since it was so windy
Peyton, Raylee and Preslie
Thanks you everybody for all the great gifts you gave Peyton and for making her 6th Birthday so special!
