Little Buckaroo Rodeo #5

This last Friday, March 4th was the 5th rodeo in the Little Buckaroo Rodeo Series. Peyton did so good again and continues to make us proud. It's kind of sad that this was the last rodeo in this series until September. She has been really consistent in all her runs and after lots of riding at riding club and competing in other rodeos and horse shows this spring and summer, she will hopefully come back even stronger in the fall.

Thanks everybody that came out to watch and chear Peyton on! I know she loves the support and so do we.

Sorry, but I didn't take any pictures at this one but did post some videos. ENJOY!!!

Just Peyton & Riding

While Houston was in New Mexico with my family, we kept busy at home with just the day to day stuff like work, school, dance, and a little riding.

We are getting excited for Spring or at least for dry dirt that may not actually come with Spring. We have had to find alternative places to ride a little this winter since all the outdoor ones are either a muddy mess or hard as rock. We have gone to the South Jordan indoor arena a couple of times and then last week before another storm moved in, Bradyn and Peyton went for a ride out by our house.

We can't wait for warmer and dry weather so we can get our fat horses in shape. Looking forward to an even busier spring, summer and fall than last year.

Thanksgiving Point Dance Competition 2011

Saturday, February 26th was Peyton's first Dance Competition of the season and was at Thanksgiving Point. Her and her team did really well especially since it was the first one.

Sweet n Sassy Team - Splish Splash jazz dance, took 1st Place

Sweet n Sassy Team - Baby Of Mine ballet dance, took 2nd Place

We are so proud of Peyton for working so hard and for all of her accomplishments in everything she does. Thanks Brent and ReNae for coming and watching her and to ReNae for taking a lot of these great pictures!

Houston's 1st Solo Trip to NM

For awhile now, my mom, dad and brother have been begging me to let Houston go down to New Mexico to stay with them for a little while. Well it finally happened. It worked out perfect because my dad came to town a couple weeks ago so Houston took the 13 hour drive back with him on Monday, February 21st, spent a week and a half with all of them, and then flew back with my mom this past Thursday, March 3rd. It was the perfect length of a trip for his first time without us and helped prepare him for even a longer trip down there this summer.

They all said he did awesome the entire time! Even with the 13 hour drive which makes me excited because we are driving to Disneyland in a couple weeks. While there he was spoiled by all (of course) with lots of new clothes and toys (tractors to be exact, they would be his favorite), did a lot of playing, ran the dogs around, rode horses, loved on the horses, made new friends, helped my dad work on their house, helped work at the barn, went to the horse races, and the best part was that he came back completely potty trained. YEAH!!!

He was already most of the way potty trained before he left but now not only goes in the toilet in the house but also wherever he feels like it outside. Plus he sleeps in big boy underwear at night with no accidents. No more diapers or pull-ups for this big boy. I have to say though, potty training a boy is a lot different than potty training a girl. Peyton was completely potty trained in a long weekend and Houston has been a process in the works for a couple months.

Here are some pictures from his trip:

Peyton is excited to have her brother back, that is until he goes into her room.

Thanks guys for letting him go down and spend time with you! I know he had a ton of fun. I love that my kids can do that.
