For Houston's 2nd birthday, my parents bought him a big boy bed, bedding and matching dressers just like they did for Peyton. I ordered the bed and dressers the day before his birthday and it finally all came in today. So Bradyn and I went and picked it all up and spent the day putting his new room together. He was so excited when we got his bed put together, he just kept jumping on it yelling "Yee Haw, Yee Haw". Here's to hoping he will sleep good in it. I think he will do fine. When I told him it was night night time he went running right for his bed. He has only been in there for about 10 minutes and is already asleep.
Thanks mom and dad, we love it!

4th of July Weekend
For the second year in a row we went out to Tabiona for the 4th of July weekend. We had so much fun last year we decided to try it again and this year we had just as much fun. We went out for the rodeo and jackpot team roping and camped right at the arena with a bunch of our friends.
It was a little weird not having Peyton there this year but I know she is having a lot of fun with my mom. We traded her for my brother which was nice to be able to spend some time with him. We didn't have Houston too much either since my Grandma Carolyn wanted to have him over for a sleepover and wanted him to play at her house.
While there Bradyn was entered in the team roping at the rodeo but wasn't up until the slack after the Friday night performance so it made for a late night. Saturday morning all the girls took all the kids to the parade in town then went back and watched the guys in the jackpot. That night we watched our friends in the rodeo, then after watched the town fireworks and lit some fireworks of our own. Houston was pretty scared of them at first but towards the end would just sit and say ewww after each one.

Last night we decided to light a few fireworks at home in our backyard to celebrate the 4th of July thinking that maybe Houston was used to them and wouldn't be so scared. Well wrong we were and here are the pictures to prove it:
He was trembling with fear right here
You can see the fear in his eyes in the one

He thought he was tough here after all the fireworks were dead on the ground

Memorial Weekend (a little late)
So I forgot to take my camera over our Memorial Weekend this year and luckily Tana took a ton of pictures and emailed me some. I just forgot about them and found them when I was going through my email and thought I better post them since they turned out so cute.
It has become a tradition to go camping with the Bennett's over Memorial Weekend and usually some of our friends join us as well. Like the last several years, we went camping up Red Creek. We had a lot of fun playing horse shoes, riding 4-wheelers, shooting skeet, some went on horseback rides, the kids wore themselves out playing so hard, we ate good food and enjoyed good company telling stories around the campfire.

Riverton Rodeo Fun!
So while Peyton is in New Mexico having a blast and getting spoiled, we have been having some fun of our own. Last night Bradyn was entered in the steer wrestling at Riverton's rodeo so Houston and I tagged along. Here are few cute pictures I took:
Colter and Houston on DJ
Houston and the rodeo clown he thought was so cool
After the rodeo Grandpa Brent took all the kids on a ride

Houston thought it was so cool going for a ride but than again he thinks that about anything that has a motor or moves

Happy Father's Day
So a little belated, but Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's out there! Especially to our dad's who we love so much. Wish I could have spent the day with my dad, if only he lived closer. To our grandpa's who we miss everyday. And to Bradyn, who is such a good and would do anything for both the kids and I.
For Father's Day we went to Bradyn's parents for dinner and let the kids play around in the water. Later that night we came home and all 4 of us worked in the garden picking weeds. Woo hoo! Not to exciting but when it needs to be done it needs to be done not matter what the day is. At least we were all together I guess.

Houston's 2nd Birthday
Houston turned the BIG 2 on June 15th. I can't believe my little man is already that old. WOW how time flies. He definetly thinks he is not a baby anymore and tries to do everything his big sister does.
For his birthday I took the day off work to do something fun with the kids. The weather was great so I called up some of my friends and they and their kids met us at the Herriman beach/pond for pizza, swimming and building sand castles. The kids had so much fun! I think my kids would live in the water if they could. They spent pretty much the entire 2 hours we were there in the pond. Thanks Tana, Kallie, Tiffanie and kids for coming with us!
Happy Birthday Houston! We love you little man!

Birthday Party for a Big Boy
On June 13th we planned on having Houston's Birthday party at the park but the weather had other plans for us and we ended up having it at our house. Houston was spoiled by everybody and received some cute clothes, toys, a wheel barrel, a new bike and a big boy bed bedroom set (which isn't quite ready yet). Thanks everybody for your love and support! You helped make Houston's 2nd Birthday great!
