Peyton's Preschool Program

On Friday, December 18th, Peyton's preschool, Learning Dynamics, put on a Christmas Program with all of the kids at the Lehi Legacy Center. Each kid had a line that they got to say in between all the kids singing songs. I can't believe how many songs they learned and then sang at the program. It was so cute and she did such a great job! Bradyn's parents came to watch her and then took us to lunch afterwards. Thanks Brent and ReNae, she was really excited that you were able to come and watch her.

Thanksgiving

We had a really good Thanksgiving and an eventful Black Friday shopping trip this year. My mom flew into town on Wednesday and stayed until Sunday afternoon and it was really nice having her here. The kids look forward to her visits and Peyton had been counting down until Grandma Jill came for about 2 weeks prior. My Grandma Carolyn also came into to town on Wednesday so we started right off by doing some shopping that day. It was our year to go to Bradyn's parents for Thanksgiving, so while we went there for a yummy dinner and good company my mom and Grandma went to my Grandma Pat's house for dinner with my mom's side of the family. After dinner at Brent and ReNae's we went up to my Grandma's for dessert.

But that wasn't where the night ended. After dessert and visiting with family we drove Bradyn and the kids home to go to bed and then me, my mom, cousin Kellee and sister in-law Haylee went out shopping. We got to Toys R Us at 11:45 p.m. because the store opened at midnight. It was crazy there and we were lucky to be able to get at least part of what we went for, the Zhu Zhu house and accessories but no hamsters. From there we went to the Mall and got good deals on clothes for the kids at Children's Place and good deals at a few other stores. We went to Walmart next in time for the sales to start at 5:00 a.m. and got pretty much everything we were after. After Walmart Haylee left us and me, my mom and Kellee continued on to Target, Justice for Girls, Shopko, Kmart, Smiths Marketplace, IFA and then breakfast with my Grandma Pat, Uncle Wade and cousing Katee. We were home by noon with a truck load of shopping bags and we rested the rest of the day. We continued on shopping all day Saturday and Sunday morning. It is such a relief because I am most of the way done with all of my Christmas shopping.

Haylee was able to track down some Zhu Zhu Hamsters on KSL.com for us. We had to pay more money for them but at least the hunt for them is over. Yay!!! It's funny the crazy things we will do for our kids.

New Moon!

On November 19th me and a bunch of my friends went out to dinner at Olive Gardner and then to the midnight showing of New Moon that actually came out on the 20th. We were so excited because we had had our tickets for about 3 months prior and thought the day would never come. It was a really fun night and the movie was really good however, New Moon wasn't my favorite book so I went in with the attitude that the movie wouldn't be my favorite either. But I would like to see again when I am not so tired and hopefully next time I won't compare it to the book throughout the whole movie. I think I will like the movie a lot more the second time.

2009 RMPRA Rodeo Finals

This last Friday and Saturday night was the RMPRA Rodeo Finals held in Heber City. Bradyn happened to qualify in the steer wrestling so we went up to watch and support him. He drew bad steers both nights and didn't have the best of luck there but it was still fun to go and hang out with everybody and the kids had a blast playing with their friends and cousins.

A Great End To Halloween

Last night my parents had a horse named Gone To The Mountain run in the Red Cell Distance Challenge held at Los Alamitos in California. So after trick or treating we came home to watch him run on TVG. There was so much publicity around this race since Gone To The Mountain is the current world record holder for the fastest time going 870 yards and another horse named Snowbound Superstar had 15 consecutive wins going into last nights race. Not to mention the other horses that were in the race that deserved to be there but didn't have all the hoopla that these two had. It was so nerve racking waiting for the race to run. Snowbound Superstar had the advantage running on his home turf but in the end after an impressive race the winner was, GONE TO THE MOUNTAIN!!!! It was so much fun to watch and made us wish even more that we had gone like we had been planning for months. Bradyn was still wanting to go and was ready to drive straight there yesterday morning to make in time for the race. If it wasn't for Halloween and 2 kids to worry about I would have done it. Hopefully they qualify again next year and we can go. Congratulations Dad and Mom, it was so exciting!!! And to Jason for holding down the fort and who had 2 for 4. Not too shabby.

Halloween Day

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We started it out by trying to get a GOOD picture of the kids dressed up in their cute Halloween costumes. Impossible!

Peyton as Hannah Montana and Houston as Sherriff Woody

Next we took the kids trick or treating for candy and yummy sugar cookies at my Grandma Pat's house.

Houston loved my Grandma's dog Freckles

He would not let go of the tags on her collar

We then went to Bradyn's parents for dinner, more candy and even a gift for all.

Colter as Frankenstein

Houston loved his costume and totally played the part as Woody

This picture was an easy one

Now throw two 16 month old boys in there and this is what you get!

Since our neighborhood does the trunk or treat we decided to stop by Kendall and Kallie's to go trick or treating with them since their neighborhood still does the traditional trick or treating.

Thanks everybody for having us over. We had a great Halloween!

Halloween Party

A few years back Hadley and Haylee started the Halloween Party tradition with all of our friends. Since then everybody has kind of taken their turn to host the party. This year the party was at Shayne and Mandy's this last Friday night. I am kind of bummed because I didn't get a whole lot of pictures and even more bummed that I didn't get any of Peyton. She must have been busy playing all night. It was a lot fun and the kids had a blast. Thanks Shayne and Mandy for having us over!!!

You can see Bradyn in the cream colored sweatshirt and black T. He is supposed to be Emmett from Twilight but his costume didn't land too well.
