Lagoon Dance Competion

This last Saturday Peyton and her dance class competed at the Dance Nationals at Lagoon. I have to commend her on being so brave to get up on stage and dance in front of so many people at such a young age. She didn't act nervous at all and was so excited to perform. The girls all did so good and I am so proud of Peyton for all of her accomplishments. After she performed we just hung out at Lagoon the rest of the day and rode a ton of rides. Last year I was pregnant with Houston so even I was excited because this year I actually got to ride. Houston had been sick all week with RSV and a double ear infection and was luckily feeling a lot better just in time. He was so good considering waking up early, the long day and pretty much contained to his stroller all day. Thanks to our families that were so supportive to come chear Peyton on and spend the day with us.

My cousin Jessie, husband Shawn and son Braxton came to Lagoon as well but weren't able to make the performance and I didn't get any pictures of them or many pictures on the rides. My mom took those shots with her camera and I forgot to get them from her before she left so I will probably post them later.

Houston On The Move

Houston is almost 11 months old and he is all of the place and into everything. He started officially crawling on his hands and knees about a month ago and that same day he started standing up to and walking along all the furniture. It seemed like he army crawled forever before he finally crawled on all fours but he has certainly made up for it because he is in out of sight in a flash.

Easter Day!

Peyton woke up really excited on Easter morning. She got up before everybody else and found all of our Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny hid. The Easter Bunny even pooped by our back door before he left and dropped a half eatin carrot. She was a little grossed out but thought is was funny. Houston wasn't sure what was going on but did enjoy all the fun stuff the Easter Bunny left for him. After we checked out our baskets I made french toast, sausage patties and hard boiled eggs for breakfast.

In the afternoon we went up to Brent and ReNaes for a really yummy early dinner. It was a fairly nice day so the kids all played outside, we had an easter egg for the 3 younger girls and the kids all opened presents from Grandpa Brent and Grandma ReNae.

Later on we met Bradyn's Uncle Ralph, Aunt Rhonda, and cousins Trenton & Wendy and their kids, Jake & Tana and their kids, Kendall & Kallie and their kids and Dallas at the Centennial Park in Riverton. Brent and ReNae met us over there later on. The adults all played softball while the kids played around on the playground and practiced T-ball. I wasn't thinking and forgot to pack tennis shoes so only played softball a little because it was hard to run in flip flops.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Last night the kids and I colored eggs for Easter. Well actually Houston just watched while Peyton and I did all the work but he did like holding and sucking on the eggs. Bradyn isn't a big fan of the plain hard boiled eggs so I boiled some eggs for him and then he put them in beat juice to soak for a couple days (yuck!). Peyton saw that commercial with the mom and the daughter making the egg shaped rice crispy treats with one end dipped in chocolate and sprinkles and now thats what she wants to make next so I guess I'll be heading to the store to get the supplies and we'll be making them either tonight or tomorrow.

We don't really have big plans for Easter this year. We thought about going camping but since the kids and I have all been sick we decided not to go because it's supposed to storm tomorrow and be on the cooler side all weekend. Last year we didn't go anywhere for Easter either and it was nice to just stay home for once on a holiday so it will be nice to just be hanging close again this year. We hope you all have a Happy Easter!

Peyton's 1st T-Ball Game

This last Monday was Peyton's 1st T-ball game. She will have 1 or 2 games a week through the first week of June and then the closing ceremonies will be on June 13th. I wasn't able to get too many pictures because I was coaching 1st base but here is one I got of Peyton hitting the ball and ReNae sent me a few others that she was able to get.

Peyton All Fancy for Dance

A couple weeks ago Peyton had her dance pictures taken. She was so excited because she got to wear make-up and had her hair done all fancy. Peyton has been attending dance lessons once a week since August. Her class will compete at Lagoon on May 9th, the Riverton Arts Festival on June 5th and then the Summer Showcase on June 13th. Here are a couple pictures of her after she got all fixed up.

Twilight DVD Party!

Last night me and my friends Tana and Nicole along with Nicole's sister in-law Jen, friend Jana and niece Quincee all went out to Chili's for a late dinner and then off to the Riverton Walmart for a Twilight DVD Release Party. It was crazy!!! The party started at 10:00 p.m. and was gonna go until 1:00 a.m. Luckily we were out of there about 12:05 a.m. and home by 12:30 a.m.

We are all really into Twilight and thought it would be fun to go out but wasn't sure where to go. Earlier that day I was in the Riverton Walmart and they were decorating for the party. It made me so excited cause they told me a star from the movie would be there and they were giving away a 37" flat screen TV. Well we were all sad when Edward didn't show up. It was Victoria instead signing autographs, there was tons of food, prize drawings (which I didn't hear any of them cause it was so crazy so I wasn't able to win the TV), people were dressed up in baseball uniforms, prom dresses, some painted there faces white and wore red contacts and on and on.

We had heard that this Walmart ordered 4,000 copies of the movie anticipating a big crowd as the theater at the District brought in more money from the movie than any other theater througout the Nation. This was also the reason for such a big party at that Walmart location. I really don't mind crowds, I guess thats why I do the day after Thanksgiving shopping, but this was so much more crazy. Even though there was supposed to be 4,000 copies, we were still really nervous we weren't going to get one because the line wrapped through pretty much the entire store. But luckily we got an inside tip from a Walmart employee to wait by the doors in the shoe department. He was right, they came out with a shopping cart full of DVD's and we were one of the first to get the movie.

Thanks girls for all going. I had a blast and can't wait for New Moon to come out in theaters on November 20th. We will have to plan another late night to attend the midnight premier.
